Frese, Esther (16 AUG 1913 - 8 FEB 1942)

Died, at her farm home in the Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), on Sunday, Feb. 8th, 1942, Mrs. Emmett Frese, aged 28 years. Death was cause by Periotonsillar (quinsy) abscesses, both sides.

The last services were held yesterday, Feb. 11th at 2:00 o’clock at the Bogumill Funeral Home, Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiating.

Esther Jacque, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jacque, was born in the Town of Reseburg on Aug. 16, 1913. On June 27, 1934 she was united in marriage to Emmett Frese of Thorp. To this union were born four children, two sons, Robert and Larry; two daughters, Joanne and Darlene, who with her husband are left to mourn her untimely passing.

Her life was gentle, but like the still waters it was deep. In her heart of hearts she carried those she loved and her hand was never weary, her step never failed in ministering unto, caring for, waiting upon those who were in any way dependent upon her.

Vainly groping after the infinite meaning we cry: "Why should so precious, so necessary a life be taken?" The old, old question which will never be answer ‘till the veil of our mortal vision be rent by immortality, and we see, not as now, darkly, but face to face. Then also may we behold the heavenly mansion which perhaps she was call thither, thus early, to help prepare for her loved ones.

She is also survived by her father, Henry Jacque of Thorp; three brothers, Alvin, Joseph and Arthur of Thorp; three sisters, (Ella) Mrs. Harold Hansen of Thorp, (Mary) Mrs. Roy Quelle of Withee, and (Rose) Mrs. George Kolbach of Port Washington, Wis.

Interment was made in the East Thorp Cemetery. Pallbearers were Arthur and Elmer Kuester, Ernest Doege, Henry Coates Jr., Phillip Mattes and Harry Witt.
