Picha, Mary Magdalen (22 July 1839 - 16 May 1931)

Mrs. Mary Picha died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Ed. Feala early Saturday morning, May 16th after an illness of five days.

Mary Magdalen Huspal was born in Austria, July 22, 1839. She was united in marriage to Mathew Picha in 1862, who proceeded her in death in 1899. They came to this country about sixty years ago and had lived on a farm northwest of Abbotsford for the past forty-five years.

Mrs. Picha had nine children, six proceeding her in death. Those surviving are Mrs. Mary Helf and Frank Picha of Oshkosh, and Mrs. Edward Feala of Abbotsford, eleven grandchildren and seven greatgrand-children.

Funeral services were held in the St. Bernard Catholic church Monday May 18. The remains were laid to rest in the Dorchester cemetery, Frank Kadonsky, Seth Barker, John Pinter, Frank Hofenberger, George Heida and Nick Skerwin acting as pallbearers.

Those out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Matt Helf and son Harry and Mr. John Kitts of Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Art Sattler, Miss Frances Stinski and Mr. Archie Picha of Neenah and Mrs. Clarence Sorenson and daughter Betty Mae of Mt. Morris, Michigan.
