St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal was the scene of the wedding of Miss Florence Goetz and Delbert Becker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Goetz, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Becker, southwest of Loyal, at 8:30 o’clock Thursday morning June 19. The Rev. Aloys Zinthefer read the rites.

The bride wore a street-length dress of powder blue with white accessories, and carried a mixed bouquet. Miss Mary Ann Meyer, cousin of the bride, maid of honor, chose a rose-colored ensemble. White lilies were contained in her bouquet. Walter Becker, brother of the groom, attending as best man.

Following the church ceremony, during which Miss Priscilla Haas played the wedding march and vocal music was furnished by the choir, immediate relatives attended a dinner and supper served at the home of the bride’s parents. Fifty guests were present at the reception.

Mr. and Mrs. Becker will reside on the farm of the groom’s parents, on route 1, Greenwood.

Guests at the wedding were Mrs. Clarence Becker and children and Walter Becker, Harvey, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Chris Ryser, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Mary Newhouse, Ladysmith; Mr. and Mrs. Lenus Hoser, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Newhouse, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Meyer, and family, all of Loyal; Mrs. Robert Fenner and daughters, Marshfield; Mrs., Herman Noeldner and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hoser and family, Mrs.. Barbara Hoser, Philip and Anna Goetz, Mr. and Mrs. Romie Goetz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Rondorf, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Becker, Sr., Joe Becker, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Art Becker, all of Greenwood, and Miss Mary Ann Meyer, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
