Anderson, Dennis E. (20 March 1949 - 24 February 2008)
Dennis E. Anderson, age 58, longtime Stanley area resident passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Palliative Care Center, Marshfield, WI.
Services will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Plombon Funeral Chapel, Stanley, WI with Pastor Matt Miklasz officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery, Stanley, WI.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday evening from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Plombon Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time on Thursday. Plombon Funeral Service, Stanley, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
Dennis was born March 20, 1949 in Stanley, WI, the son of Dale & Annabelle (Alger) Anderson. He grew up in the Stanley area and attended area schools, later working for Halterman’s Truck Sales & Wrecking Yard as a mechanic.
On November 25, 1967 he was united in marriage to Donna (Shock) White. They moved to Milwaukee where he began a 30+ year career as an over the road truck driver. He was later married to Janet Larsen. In 1990 he moved back to Stanley and married Laura Gergely. In his spare time, he enjoyed fixing cars and trucks, socializing with his many friends and spending quality time with his ten grandchildren.
Dennis is survived by his three children: Lori (Dave) Wald of Stanley, WI, Dennis "Chopper" (Darla) Anderson of Eau Claire, WI, & Leah (Kim) Krueger of Owen, WI; grandchildren: Ben, Katie, Zach, Garrett Wald, Nick Cody & Shawna Anderson, Samantha, Chandra, & Dustin Pecha; two step-grandchildren: Kayla & Karolyn Krueger; two brothers: David Anderson of Bangkok, Thailand, and Duane (Donna) Anderson of Withee, WI; sisters: Donna (Gary) Forsman of Mound, MN, Debbie Brown (special friend Ron Tomkowiak) of Stanley, WI, DeeAnn (Ed) Giwojna of Stanley, WI; special friend Lori Robinson of Stanley, WI; and aunts and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Dale in 1984 and mother Annabelle in 2007 and his grandparents.
