Emil L. Gorsegner, 82 of 210 E. Hemmi Road, Lynden, Washington, died February 11, 1994, at Christian Rest Home in Lynden.

Emil was born January 14, 1912 in the Township of Reseburg, rural Thorp, Wis. to the late Christian and Marie (Teuke) Gorsegner. When he was a young man he went to the State of Washington, with his brother William. He married Iola E. Blowers October 11, 1930, at Friday Harbor, Washington. A dairy farmer, they moved to the Ferndale, Washington area in 1945, and 2 years ago moved to the Lynden, Washington area.

He is survived by his wife Iola of Lynden, two sons Dale (Elaine) Gorsegner of Lynden, Washington, Darriel Gorsegner of Sumas, Washington, one daughter Elaine Pekema of Custer, Washington; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews of which many reside around Thorp and surrounding areas. Besides being preceded in death by his parents, he also was preceded in death by one son, Darren, two grandsons, son-in-law, 6 sisters and 5 brothers.

Visitations were at the Green acres Funeral Home, Lynden, Washington. A private burial followed. No services were held.
