Steinwand, Elizabeth (Marriage - 15 Sept. 1951)

Lt. Elizabeth Steinwand of Oakland, Calif., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Steinwand of Colby and John Nadolny of Milwaukee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nadolny, were united in marriage Saturday morning, Sept. 15, at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s church in Colby, Wis., Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating. The couple was attended by Miss Suzanne Steinwand and Dr. Kenneth Smigielski. Peter Steinwand ushered at the church.

The bride was attired in an ivory satin gown with train and long veil. The gown was made lace yoke and shoulder ruffle and long sleeves. Her bouquet consisted of white gladioli and baby mums. Her attendant wore a gown of blue taffeta with matching Juliet cap. Her bouquet consisted of carnations and garnet roses. Mary Lou Bonar, flower girl, wore a costume identical to that of the bridesmaid.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents after which the newlyweds left on a trip to Northern Wisconsin. They will be at home after October 1st in Oakland, Calif., where the groom is employed as a civil engineer.

Out-of-town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nadolny, Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Smigielski, and Mrs. Walczak of Milwaukee, Mrs. Celia Weix and Joe Weix of Antigo, Mrs. Elizabeth Corrow and two sons, Edward and Jimmy, of Manitowoc, Dr. and Mrs. Edward Benkendorf and daughters, Ann and Mary, of Monticela, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Braun and son, David, of Athens, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Weix of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Grambort and daughters, Irene and Nancy, of Ashland, Mrs. Alice Bonar, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bonar and daughters, Mary Lou and Eileen, of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Kademan of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Steinwand of Detroit, Michigan.
