Hardrath, Ethel (Marriage - 20 Oct. 1951)

Miss Ethel Hardrath, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hardrath of Unity, and Ervin F. Schultz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest F. Schultz of Colby, exchanged marriage vows at St. John’s Lutheran church in Riplinger Saturday afternoon, Oct. 20, Rev. R. J. Pagel reading the marriage ceremony. The couple was attended by the bride’s sister, Miss Luella Hardrath, and her brother, Galen Hardrath, and the bride’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hardrath of Abbotsford, Wis. Ushers were John Block of Colby, nephew of the groom, and Ray Seefeldt of Marshfield, cousin of the bride.

The bride was attired in a white satin gown with full skirt with an all-over lace bodice. Elbow-length lace gauntlets completed her ensemble. Her lace trimmed fingertip veil was caught to a beaded tiara. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white pompoms. The maid of honor wore an orchid satin gown with scalloped detail and carried a bouquet of pink roses and yellow pompoms. The bridesmaid, in a similar gown of gold satin, carried a bouquet of yellow roses and orchid pompoms. The bride’s mother wore a navy blue rayon faille. Both had corsages of pink carnations and white pompoms.

Mrs. Henry Kuessel, aunt of the bride, provided wedding music at the organ and furnished the accompaniment for the duets, "O Perfect Love" and "Jesus, Be Our Guide," sung by Mrs. R. J. Pagel and Miss Betty Rex.

Guests were present from Colby, Unity, Spencer, Marshfield, Dorchester, Minnesota and Couer d’Alene, Idaho.
