Dummer, Emilia (26 Aug. 1875 - 28 Apr. 1951)

Mrs. Emilia Dummer died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Saturday morning at the age of 75 years, eight months and two days after an illness of nine months. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Zion Lutheran church, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Walter Wiersig, W. F. Schwantes, Herman Schwantes, Chas. Feind, Wm. Neuhaus and Frank Marquardt.

Mrs. Dummer was born in Germany on August 26, 1875, and came to the United States in 1895, settling in Ripon. Her first marriage was to Carl Diedrich in Ripon in 1895. He died several years later. In 1923, she married Fred Lorfeldt who also preceded her in death. In 1929, she married William Dummer who died on 1942. Mrs. Dummer had been a resident of Colby since 1924.

Surviving are three children, Mrs. Carl Mundt and Fred Diedrich of Colby and Mrs. Rudolph Nuerenberger of Stetsonville, two step-children, Herman Diedrich of Oshkosh and Mrs. John Tietje of Summer, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Krueger of Ripon and Mrs. Helen Berger of California; one brother in Germany; 19 grand children and 24 great-grand children.

Mrs. Dummer was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran church and the Sewing Circle of that congregation. Her relatives and friends will always remember her as being of a congenial disposition who always endeavored to perform her duties to the best of her ability.

Out of town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Diedrich, Mrs. Robert Pechman and Christine of Oshkosh, Mrs. Wm. Moore and Mary of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. John Tietje of Summer, Iowa, Mrs. Bertha Krueger and Gordon Krueger of Ripon, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Nuerenberger, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nuerenberger, Mr. and Mrs. Reynold Nuerenberger, Mr. and Mrs. John Nuerenberger, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Nuerenberger, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Berry, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wolff, Sue and Gerry, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Zastrow and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Jramelier of Stetsonville, Mrs. Carl Damrau and Mrs. Herman Damrau of Tigerton.
