Bowen, Millard Ervin (12 July 1918 - 29 July 1951)

Millard Ervin Bowen, age 33, formerly of Curtiss, was killed in an automobile accident in Montana early Sunday morning, according to a telegram received by his mother in Curtiss.

Mr. Bowen, who attended school in Curtiss, had been employed as a mechanic in a garage at Hardin, Mont., for the past five years. He had not been in Curtiss since that time.

Mr. Bowen was born in the town of Hoard on July 12, 1918, and never married. Surviving are his mother, three brothers and two sisters - Lester of Curtiss, Floyd of Owen, Robert of Wisconsin Dells, Mrs. Frank (Loretta) Gleck of Elizabeth, Pa., and Mrs. James (Velma) Moore of Honey Brook, Pa. One brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Thursday at the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) in Owen, Rev. H. D. Wagner of Owen officiating, and burial was made in the Pine Hill cemetery at Curtiss.
