McMahon, Ida Mae (9 JAN 1943)

Roman Possley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Possley of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Ida Mae McMahon, daughter of Mrs. Jessie McMahon, of Brookfield, Ill., and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Butler of Thorp, were united in marriage at a very pretty wedding ceremony read at St. Barbara’s Church at Brookfield on the morning of January 9th, 1943.

Roger Possley of Galesburg, Ill., and Miss Florence Ohman of Brookfield, attended the couple.

The bride was beautifully attired in a powder blue ensemble and wore a corsage of camellias. Her bridesmaid was dressed in a nile green ensemble and her corsage was of yellow gladiolas.

The groom and best man were attired in brown business suits.

A reception was held after the ceremony at the bride’s parental home in Brookfield, the following guests being present: Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Possley and Miss Della Frinak of Thorp, Mrs. Jessie McMahon and Miss Opal McMahon, mother and sister of the bride, Miss Florence Ohman of Brookfield, Mr. and Mrs. Nick E. Possley and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Possley of Galesburg, Ill., Mrs. Clara Ohman and Miss Mildred Ohman of Brookfield, Miss Beatrice Camba and Leo Carrol of Chicago.

The bride is a graduate of Brookfield High School. The groom graduated from the Thorp High School and Marquette University of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has been employed in Chicago for several years. His many friends of Thorp join the "Courier" in extending best wishes.
