Olson, Adelyn C. (25 MAY 1943)

(The Baldwin Bulletin)

On Tuesday evening, may 25, 1943, at 7:30 o’clock the N.R.R. Lutheran Church was the scene of a very pretty wedding when Adelyn C. Olson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Olson exchanged nuptial vows with William E. Krause, who was recently honorably discharged from the Army Air Corps. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Krause of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). Rev. H.P. Nordby read the marriage ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated with candelabra and baskets of flowers.

The bride entered the church on her father’s arm to the strains of Lohengrin’s Bridal Chorus played by Miss Gena Norby. The bride was gowned in white French Pierre net and fingertip veiled. Her bridal bouquet consisted of cream roses.

She was attended by Miss Harriet Moore of Spring Valley and Miss Bernice Barth of Menominee. They wore matching gowns and short colored veils and carried colonial bouquets.

The groom was attended by Norman Olson, F.C. 3-c of the U.S. Navy, and Larry Kaner of Menominee. Mr. Erving Behm rendered three beautiful solos, "I Love Your Truly," "Because," and "The Lord’s Prayer."

Following the ceremony a reception was given in the church dining room, which was beautifully decorated in all white.

After a brief honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs. Krause will make their home on the groom’s farm near Thorp.
