Michael J. Ramminger, 46, of Edgar, formerly of Colby, died Monday, March 10, 2008, in the Palliative Care Unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Complete obituary information will be published at a later date.

Maurina/Schilling Funeral Home of Abbotsford is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Michael J. Ramminger

EDGAR -- Michael J. Ramminger, 46, of Edgar, formerly of Colby, died Monday, March 10, 2008, in the Palliative Care Unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby, Wis. Burial to follow in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mike was born May 1, 1961, in Marshfield to Milton and Nancy (Lang) Ramminger. Following high school, Mike lived in Marshfield where he worked at Opportunity Development Center. Some time later, Mike moved to Eau Claire where he resided in a group home. Mike was known for his clowning around and his humor. Motorcycles were one of Mike's passions.

Mike is survived by his mother, Nancy of Colby; and his siblings, James of Colby, Joyce (Richard) Thieme of Colby, Pamela (Brian) Tyznik of Abbotsford, Joseph of Colby and David of Colby, Wis.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of Abbotsford is assisting Mike's family with the arrangements.
