Schlinsog, Albert C. (11 October 1886 - 17 October 1968)

Funeral services were held October 21 from the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton for Albert C. Schlinsog, 82, who died October 17, in Neillsville. The Rev. Rolland Roehrs officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Schlinsog was born October 11, 1886, in the Town of Grant, where he received his education and spent his entire lifetime. He was the son of the late Adolph and Helena (Tischer) Schlinsog. He framed the home farm until ill health forced him to retire. He was married November 12, 1914, in Granton to the former Martha Schaller, who died in 1967. Mr. and Mrs. Schlinsog had celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary in 1964. He was a member of the ion Lutheran Church.

Mr. Schlinsog is survived by a son, Paul, and a daughter, Mrs. Allen (Lydia) Montgomery, both of Granton; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Ewald, Edward and Walter Schlinsog, Arnold Guk, Ray Nickel and Allen Reisner. “Just as I am” and What a Friend We Have in Jesus” were sung by Mrs. Roger Helm, accompanied by Mrs. Leland Garbisch.

People from out-of-town attending the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mullins of Neenah; Mrs. William Mesar of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Louie Schaller and William Schaller of Chippewa Falls; Peter Schaller of Cadott; Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Schlinsog and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Guk of Marshfield; Mrs. Orville Schuette of Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schlinsog of Loyal.

Arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.
