Miss Carol Maier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Maier of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) became the bride of Roger D. Konieczny, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Konieczny of Thorp, on Saturday, , Oct. 2, 1965, at St. Hedwig's Chapel, Thorp, Wis. Rev. Edward Masalewicz officiated at the 10 a.m. Nuptial Mass.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a floor length bridal gown of Chantilly lace styled with long tapered sleeves and a scalloped Sabrina neckline etched with seed pearls and sequins. The bouffant skirt featured tiers of lace cascading into a full chapel train. A double Swedish crown of pearls trimmed with crystal held her bouffant sheer illusion veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink aristocrat roses accented with a mint green bow.

Cynthia Maier, sister of the bride, was the miniature bride and Paul Konieczny, brother of the groom, was ring bearer. Both were dressed identical to the bride and groom.

Miss Sharon Konieczny, sister of the groom, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Miss Deborah Maier, sister of the bride, Miss Vicki Grabowski, Gilman, friend of the bride, and Miss Yvonne Lobacz, Chicago, friend and roomate of the bride. They wore floor length dresses fashioned with a forest green velvet bodice and mint green crepe skirt styled with elbow length sleeves and semi scoop neckline. An overlay at the waistline of Venice lace highlighted the slim skirt. They wore matching crowns of pearl arches which held their mint green blush veils and carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations accented with a mint green bow. The maid of honor carried a cascade bouquet of green tinted and white carnations accented with a mint green bow.

Ralph Maier, brother of the bride, was best man, and groomsmen were Jim Dobrzynski, friend of the groom, Gary Klewicki, Chicago, friend and roommate of the groom, and Bill Petkovsek, Waukegan, Ill., friend of the groom.

Ushers were Bob Cukla, St. Paul, cousin of the bride, and Jim Zwiesehafer, Bloomer, cousin of the groom.

The bride's mother wore a royal blue lace and ribbon trimmed dress with royal blue accessories. The groom's mother wore a turquoise lace trimmed dress with black accessories. Both mothers wore a corsage of two white cartelya orchids.

The bride chose her cousin Jean Sonnentag and the groom's cousin Barbara Telin to take care of her guests book at the reception.

Hostesses were Ann Briski and Mary Jakowicz.

The wedding dinner, reception and dance were held at St. Hedwig's Quonset Hall for about 500 guests.

Out of town guests were from Minneapolis, St. Paul, Chicago, Elgin, Waukegan, Kenosha, Racine, Milwaukee, Green Bay, West Allis, White Fish Bay, Crandon, Medford, Abbotsford, Eau Claire, Bloomer, Stanley, Gilman, Willard, Greenwood, Lublin, Owen and Withee.
