Syryczuk, John A. "Big John" (25 SEP 1926 - 3 JUL 2012)

John A. "Big John" Syryczuk, 86, Lublin, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care in Marshfield.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 14 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin, with Father John Long officiating. Family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.

Per John's request, there will be no public visitation and he will be cremated.

John was born on May 27, 1926 on the home farm in Lublin, the son of Andrew and Anna (Nowak) Syryczuk and was a graduate of Gilman High School. He married Regina Grabski on October 10, 1953 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin.

John farmed in the Township of Ford, Taylor County his entire life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting.

He is survived by his wife, Regina, and their children, Cindy Daniels of Eden Prairie, MN, Kevin (Cindy) Syryczuk of Lublin, Susan (Raymond) Halida of Colby and Craig (Michelle) Syryczuk of Thorp. He is also survived by grandchildren, Reed (Ashley), Evan and Callie Daniels, Trenton "TJ," Alexa and Joshua Syryczuk, and Jamie and Christopher Syryczuk, and great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Bryson Syryczuk. He is further survived by a brother, Irving Syryczuk of Medford, and a sister, Virginia (Mike) Ustianowski of Lublin, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Carleen in infancy; parents; a brother, Donald (Vicki); a sister, Lorraine; and in-laws, Frank and Delia Grabski; brothers-in-law, Roman Grabski, Maylan Reyzer; and sisters-in-law, Lucille Lukas and Louise Vorpahl.

Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield assisted the family with arrangements.
