Waeker, Raymond (1918? - 19 SEP 1943)

Raymond Waeker, aged 25, of Milwaukee died, and his companion, Harold Yaeger of Boyd, is in a serious condition at Victory Hospital, Stanley, as a result of an automobile accident which occurred shortly after noon Sunday, 2 miles east of Stanley. Waeker, who was driving, lost control of his car while going east around a curve near the Blazel Cheese Factory, and both men were thrown 300 feet when the car skidded. Waeker died three hours after being brought to Stanley, while Yaeger has been in a semi-conscious condition since. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Yaeger of Boyd.

Both men were employed by the Ernst Auto Co. of Milwaukee, and were on a business mission at the time of the accident. Yaeger was employed on a farm owned by Ernest, north of Boyd. Waeker was married, and has one child. Mrs. Waeker was called from Milwaukee and returned with the body to that city Monday.
