Andruskiewicz, Mr./Mrs. Leon (Golden - 6 FEB 1944)

Mr. and Mrs. Leon Andruskiewicz Sr., who recently moved to the village of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), celebrated their Golden Wedding Sunday, Feb. 6th, 1944, at St. Hedwig’s Church. Father F. Piekarski gave the blessing at an 8:30 Mass. The wedding couple marched to the altar to the strains of the Lohengrin’s wedding march, followed by their children and grandchildren. The altar was appropriately decorated with golden flowers.

A reception was held at their home after the church services. The home was also trimmed with white streamers and golden flowers, and festivities continued throughout the day. Many beautiful gifts were received by the aged couple from friends and relatives for which they extend many thanks.

The following relatives from out of town attended the event: Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Andruskiewicz of st. Louis, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Krempel and son of Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Piwoni and daughter and Mrs. Janet Balicki and children of Chicago; Julius Przybylski and children of Gilman; Mr. and Mrs. Anton Pietrzen and son of Owen; Mrs. Michur and children of Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Andruskiewicz of Thorp. Their friends and relatives wish them many more happy years together.
