Hubing, Lila D. (9 Mar 1907 - 19 Mar 2008)

Lila D. Hubing NEILLSVILLE -- Lila Hubing, 101, of Neillsville, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, in the Palliative Care Unit of Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at the Gesche Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born March 9, 1907, in the town of York, the daughter of Truman and Effie (Breese) Davis. She attended Saint Joseph School of Nursing in Marshfield. She was employed by the Memorial Nursing Home for 24 years before retiring in 1981. On March 9, 1925, she married Charles M. Hubing and he preceded her in death in 1971. They farmed in the town of Grant for 22 years. After selling their farm they moved to Neillsville where she lived until moving to the Angeleus Retirement Community in 2003.

She is survived by daughters, Charlotte (Robert) Jacob, Port Edwards, and Luann (William) Hoffman, Grand Rapids; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
