Richard Hebert

Richard W. "Dick" Hebert, 68, Marshfield, Wisconsin, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Palliative Care, Marshfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Tuesday until service time.

Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Richard Hebert

Richard W. "Dick" Hebert, 68, 610 S. Lincoln Ave., Marshfield, Wisconsin, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Palliative Care, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield. The Rev. Donald L. Meuret will officiate and Suzanne Golden will be the organist for Michael Gonering as soloist. Burial will take place in West Spencer Cemetery, town of Sherman, Clark County.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Peace Church until service time. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mr. Hebert was born Sept. 3, 1939, in the town of Brighton to Francis X. and Rita (Hennes) Hebert. He attended Unity Elementary School and graduated from Colby High School.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1961. He married Marcella Schoenfuss and she died in 1986. He later married Johann Paris Martindale in 1988. He had been employed as an electrician at Thomas Electric for forty years until his retirement. The Heberts then moved to Winter, where he lived his dream, hunting and fishing in northern Wisconsin. They returned to Marshfield in October 2007.

He is survived by his wife Johann "Joan" of Marshfield, and his four children, David (Doree) Hebert of Spencer, Sherrie (Tom) Hamus of Auburndale, Thomas (Sophia) Hebert of Honduras and Dennis (Debbie) Hebert of Marshfield.

He is also survived by five stepchildren, Don (Sandy) Martindale of Hayward, Marc (Insuk) Martindale of Weston, Kirk Martindale of El Paso, Texas, Beth Martindale of Loyal and Suzanne Martindale of Wausau. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He is further survived by four brothers and four sisters, Gerald (Laney) Hebert of Arizona, Francis A. Hebert of Wausau, Joseph (Pauline) Hebert of Marshfield, Dan (Nancy) Hebert of Arizona, Sister Betty Hebert of LaCrosse, Carol Kosier of Stanley and Rose (Duane) Peterson of Neillsville.

He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters, Antoinette "Toni" Weis and Virginia Borchardt.
