Mr. and Mrs. James Doud, of Rt. 1 Neillsville, announce the engagement of their

Rivers and Mrs. Marcella Thompson, of San Jose, California. Miss Doud is a 1983
graduate of Neillsville High School and is employed at Stevenson’s and the Tea
Shop in Marshfield. Her fiance is a 1982 graduate of Two Rivers Washington High
School and in 1983 from Northeast Wisconsin technical Institute, Green Bay. He
is employed at Stevenson’s in Marshfield. An April 18, 1987, wedding is being
planned.

Kurasz, Erika J. (ACA Recognition - 1985)
Erika J. Kurasz, Neillsville, has successfully completed the requirements for
nationally-recognized accreditation in accountancy. The Accreditation Council
for Accountancy (ACA), a non-profit corporation sponsored by the National
Society of Public Accountants, awarded accredited status to Erika J. Kurasz on
May 10, 1985, after passing a six-hour formal examination administered by ACA.
Erika J. Kurasz is one of only 3,000 individuals to earn this recognition from
the Accreditation Council for Accountancy. According to ACA statistics, there
are over 300,000 practitioners in the United States.

Hart, Mr. and Mrs. Garald (Golden - 1985)
Mr. and Mrs. Garald Hart, of 1010 Hewett St., Neillsville, were honored
Saturday, September 14, at an 8:00 p.m. 50th anniversary mass celebrated by the
Rev. Joseph Henseler of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Ronald Resong served as
organist and Mrs. Elaine Bedell and Mrs. Dorothy Burr caried the offertory gifts
to the altar.
Garald Hart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hart, of Humbird, and Lillian Gangler,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Gangler, of Neillsville, were married
September 11, 1935, in St. Mary’s Catholic Rectory, in Neillsville. The Rev.
Peter Weber, then pastor, performed the ceremony. The attendants were Clarence
Gangler and Ruth (Skroch) Imig.
A reception was hosted by their children and grandchildren at the Wild Cat Inn
on Sunday, September 15, at 2:00 p.m., with dinne3r following at 4:00 p.m.
Their children are Mrs. Harry (Elaine) Bedell and Mrs. Dorothy Burr, both of
Neillsville, and Thomas Hart, of Springfield, Oregon. They also have ten
grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
Out-of-town guests included Mrs. Minerva Viergutz and Mrs. Elizabeth Gullikson,
both of North St. Paul, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hart, Morristown,
Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Hart, Northfield, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Maurice
Elsen, Owatonna, Minnesota; Mrs. Gladys Bedell, and Mrs. Gil Blom, both of
Fairchild; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nibbe and Mrs. Kate Dignin, all of Humbird; Mrs.
Anna Belle Bauer, and Patrick Bauer, both of Wis. Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Erwin
Sternitzky, and Mrs. Kate Buddinger, all of Granton; and Mr. and Mrs. Bladl,
Owen.
