At St. Hedwig’s Church, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), on Saturday, June 24, 1944, 10 o’clock a.m. solemn high mass, Miss Goldie Briski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Briski of Greenwood (Clark Co.), became the bride of Mr. George Trybula, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Trybula of Thorp, Father F. Piekarski officiated.

The bride, who was escorted to the altar by her father, wore a sheer gown with a four yard train and a five yard length veil of lace and net crowned with a tiara of orange blossoms. Her bridal bouquet was made up of white carnations, sweet peas and baby’s breath.

Miss Zora Briski, a cousin of the bride, acted as maid of honor. Her gown was made up of ice blue lace and marquisette with a matching tiara and blusher. She carried a bouquet of red carnations and blue and white larkspurs.

The bridesmaids, Miss Helen Briski, cousin of the bride, Miss Olga Briski, sister of the bride, and Miss Grace Trybula, niece of the groom, wore gowns of melon rose marquisette with matching tiara and blushers. They also carried bouquets of red carnations and blue and white larkspurs.

The groom, who wore a tuxedo with a red rose boutonniere, was attended by his cousin, Louis Kobylarczyk, who wore a tuxedo with a white carnation boutonniere. Tony Plecheck and Mike Briski, a cousin of the bride, also wearing tuxedos with white carnation boutonniere, acting as ushers.

After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served for all relatives at the P.N.A. Hall in Thorp.

At 6:30 p.m. a wedding dinner was served to 200 guests. A seven-tier wedding cake was the centerpiece of the bride’s table.

Music was furnished by the Jolly Melodiers for the afternoon and evening dancing.

Tropp and family, Mike Trybula, Mrs. Mary Koval and son John, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Briski, Mrs. Matt Stimar and daughter, and Walter Bjarski, of Chicago.
