Hanawalt, George K. (1888 - 1956)

George K. Hanawalt, 67, of Kansas City, Mo., a former Unity, Wisconsin resident, passed away last week at the Long Convalescent home, Kansas City, of a heart ailment.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Holley Funeral Home in Waupaca and burial was made there in Crystal Lake cemetery.

Mr. Hanawalt was born in Minto, North Dakota. He received his education in local schools and in the School of Agriculture at Wausau. He never married.

Leaving Unity 36 years ago he resided in Kansas City.

Surviving are a brother, Ross Hanawalt, Boyleston, Ohio, and two sisters, Miss Elizabeth Hanawalt, Marshfield; and Mrs. Madge Bennett of Unity; all of whom attended the funeral Monday. His parents, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.
