Fuller, Marion L. (28 Aug. 1889 - 9 Apr. 1957)

Funeral rites with military honors, were conducted here Friday for Marion L. Fuller, 68, a former barber of this community, who died April 9 at the Veterans Hospital at Wood after a long illness.

Preceding burial in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery, where graveside rites were conducted by the Colby V.F.W. Post, services were held from Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Vander Stoep officiating.

Lloyd Ringquist, of Spencer sang "Rock of Ages" and "My Faith Looks Up To Thee" accompanied by Mrs. Ansel Messer at the organ.

Pallbearers were Otto Atcherson, Ed Feit, Frank Jordan, Ed Mews, Arthur Edblom and Clarence Edblom.

Mr. Fuller was born in the Town of Unity August 28, 1889 and was engaged in the barbering trade here for several years. He also worked as a barber in Vesper and King. He lived in New London for the past 12 years. He was a member of the American Legion.

He was married twice, to Katherine Patrick October 24, 1920 at Colby and to Mrs. Mildred Altenberger January 25, 1939, at Unity.

Survivors include the widow, six children, Norman, with the U.S. Navy at Key West, Florida; Nyole, Chicago; Neil, Stevens Point and Ronald, Patricia and Julie at home; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Copet, Portage; and Mrs. Edna Kenyon, Spencer; and one brother, John E. Fuller, Unity; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Eddie (Natalie) Pilsner, a brother, Ben and two sisters, Jennie and Flora.

Out-of-town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Fuller, Key West, Florida; Mr. and Mrs. Nyole Fuller, Chicago; Neil Fuller, Stevens Point; Wm. Altenberger, Portsmouth, N.H.; Mrs. Marion Fuller and children, New London; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fuller, Wausau; Mrs. C. P. Olson, Eau Claire; Mrs. Floyd Fahlgren, Mondovi; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Liek, Warrens; Mrs. George Liek and daughter, Sparta; Mr. and Mrs. Pilsner, Marshfield; Mrs. George Engeldow and Wilbur, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and many persons from nearby areas.
