Meier, Louis A. (18 Jan. 1918 - 9 Nov. 1981)

NEILLSVILLE - Services for Louis A. Meier, 63, Route 1, Neillsville, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Mr. Meier died of a heart attack late Monday afternoon while cutting wood near his home.

The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today and until 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Gesche Funeral Home and an hour before time of services at the church.

NEILLSVILLE - Services for Louis A. Meier, 63, Route 1, Neillsville, will be Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Mr. Meier died of a heart attack late Monday afternoon while cutting wood near his home.

The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Mr. Meier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph (Christina) Meier was born January 18, 1918 in the town of Levis, Where he also received his education. He farmed in that township until his marriage to the former Inez Jenni on October 5, 1941 at Loyal.

The couple lived at Chili for three years before returning to a farm in the town of Levis. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Marilyn) Krause, Neillsville; three sons, Kenneth and David Meier, both of Eau Claire, and James Meier, Seneca; three sisters, Mrs. Albert (Ella) Meihack, Mrs. Frederick (Dorothy) Quast and Mrs. Harold (Helen) Beyer, all of Neillsville; four brothers, Frank Meier, Salem, Oregon, and Clarence, Charles and William Meier, all of Neillsville, and 13 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur and Adolph, and also by a brother and a sister in infancy.
