Fabian, Maxine Ione (6 December 1938 - 2 April 2008)

Maxine I. Fabian, 69, Greenwood, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

Maxine Ione Stone was born December 6, 1938, in Neillsville to Curtis and Irene (Voldness) Stone. She was raised and received her education in Neillsville, graduating from Neillsville High School in 1956, and following graduation, Maxine worked at the First National Bank in Neillsville. She was united in marriage to Frank A. Fabian September 24, 1960, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville. They lived and farmed in the Town of Eaton their entire married life. Her husband Frank died February 7, 2003. Maxine continued to live on the farm until her death.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she had been active in the Trinity Lutheran Church Women and taught Sunday School. Maxine had many interests but especially loved spending time with her family, cooking, baking, bird watching and flowers.

She is survived by three sons, Frank Jr. (Darlene) of Greenwood; Michael (Donna) of Neillsville and Jody (Stephanie) of Greenwood; six grandchildren, Matthew, Miranda, Conner, Jacob, Teaera and Traven Fabian; and one sister, Ruby Stone of Neillsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Frank.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, with Rev. Daniel Zimmerman officiating. Burial followed in the Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Schultz, Todd Rohde, Jack Jensen, Randy Roehl, Richard Rohde and Brian Olstinski.

Cuddie Funeral Home of Loyal assisted the family with arrangements.
