Drummond, Ida Louise #2 (16 MAR 1872 - 04 MAR 1942)

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, March 7, from the home and the Methodist church at Greenwood for Mrs. John Drummond, 70 (69), who passed away at her home on March 4.

She had been an invalid since December 7, 1940, at which time she suffered her second stroke.

Mrs. Drummond, nee, Ida Louise Williams, was born on March 16, 1872, at Necedah. On January 16, 1890, she was united in marriage to John Drummond at Necedah. She was the mother of two children, a son, Emil, of Minneapolis, and a daughter, Mrs. John (Vera) Wuethrich, Greenwood. She had made her home in Greenwood for the past 42 years where she had won the esteem of everyone that knew her.

She was a member of the Eastern Star lodge and was the first Worthy Matron of the Greenwood chapter. She was also a member of the Methodist church and the Ladies Aid.

Mrs. Drummond is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. John (Vera) Wuethrich of Greenwood; one son, Emil of Minneapolis, Minn.; four grandchildren, John and Allen Wuethrich of Greenwood, Robert and Patricia Drummond of Minneapolis; two great grandchildren, Devere Wuethrich and Mary Jo Drummond; three sisters, Florence Williams of Lake Forest, Ill., Allie Williams of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. E. L. (Una Mae) Hindes of Minong; six brothers, Emil of Portland, Ore., John T. of Santa Cruz, Calif., Frank of Waukesha, Antis E. of Sparta, Robert of Necedah, Lute G. of Chicago; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The pallbearers were Russell Weaver, Herbert Schwarze, Robert Williams, a nephew, and three grandsons, John D. Wuethrich, Allen Wuethrich and Robert Drummond.

The flower girls were Mrs. Caroline Volk, Mrs. John D. Wuethrich, Mrs. Allen Wuethrich, Miss Florence Friske, Miss Naomi Emberson, Mrs. Russell Weaver.

Those from away who attended the funeral were Miss Florence Williams of Lake Forest, Ill.; Miss Allie Williams, Lute G. Williams and son, Robert, of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Hindes and daughter, Betty Jane, of Minong; Mr. and Mrs. Art Long of Stanley; Mrs. Otto Anderson of Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Weaver and Mrs. Henry Linneman of Owen; Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Hartson, Mr. and Mrs. James Young and Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Horswill of Neillsville; Rev. and Mrs. C. R. Gaylord of Stanley.
