Moczarny, Stanley (3 JUN 1870 - 27 FEB 1945)

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church here on Saturday morning, March 3rd at 10:00 o’clock for Stanley Moczarny, 74, who passed away at the Legault Hospital at Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) on Tuesday, Feb. 27th, 1945, of toxemia. Rev. F. Piekarski officiated.

The deceased was born in Poland on June 3, 1870. He was united in marriage there on Oct. 19, 1897, and in January 1898 came to America, locating in Chicago, where he remained for four years. He came to Thorp in 1902 and resided on a farm near here until his retirement in 1927. Since that time he has lived in the village. Mrs. Moczarny passed away on April 27, 1942.

Surviving relatives are one son, Joseph of Thorp, and two daughters, Mrs. James (Stella) Wolf, of Chicago, and Mrs. Elmer (Nellie) Johnson of Eau Claire, 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

He was laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Ig. Przybylski, Joe Kobylarczyk, Geo. Zukowski, John Balcer, John Nowobielski and Stanley Neiman.
