Thorp Happenings

Grandmother Hubbard has celebrated her 86th birthday.

Mrs. W. E. Wohlleben is again at home after a long stay in a hospital at Prescott, Wis.

Martha Meska is a patient at the Stanley hospital.

Mrs. Nancy Sayes of Eidsvold celebrated her ninety-first birthday recently.

Eddie Burkhardt is back around Thorp after an absence of 36 years. During that time he has been a cook in the lumber camps of northern Michigan. He is a guest of his brother, Alfred Burkhardt.

Mrs. Ray Czech is recovering from an operation performed on April 18 at Chippewa Falls./

Louis Glamkowski, who recently retired from farming, is in the hospital at Stanley for treatment.

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Prokopiak are the parents of a son, born April 4.

Pirl Burrington has gone to the state of Washington, where he will work in the shipyards.
