On Sept. 3, 1945 at the Rectory of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Seattle, Wash., Lt. Betty Ann, Hollander, U.S.N.R., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tyre H. Hollander of Seattle, Wash., became the bride of Cpl. Seldon VanderWegen, U.S. Army, son of Mrs. Florence VanderWegen of Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.

A wedding breakfast was held at the Hotel Meany for twelve guests, after which the bride and groom left for a ten-day wedding trip into Canada, staying at the Sunset Inn, Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island and at Victoria.

The bride was graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Journalism. She has been in the Waves over two years, assigned to the 13th Naval district in Seattle.

The groom was attending the University of Wisconsin at the time he entered the army in 1942. He is at present stationed at the AAF Center, Orlando, Fla.

On their separation from the service the young couple will make their home in Madison, Wis., where the groom will complete his college education.
