Kowalski, Alice (6 OCT 1945)

Miss Alice Kowalski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kowalski, became the bride of Jack Czyzewicz of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), in a ceremony performed by Father F. Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Church at ten o’clock Saturday morning, Oct. 6th, 1945.

The bride was beautifully attired in a net over satin, long sleeved gown with a sweetheart neckline. She wore a fingertip veil with blusher and beaded crown. She wore a pearl necklace and earrings, gifts from the groom and she carried a bouquet of white roses and carnations with streamers.

Theresa Kowalski who was flower girl, was dressed in a light blue taffeta, floor-length dress, carrying a basket of yellow chrysanthemums, and wore a gold chain and cross, gift from the bride.

Best man was Richard Maslonka, cousin of the groom, and bridesmaid was Audrey Czyzewicz, also cousin of the groom.

The two bridesmaids were dressed alike in powder blue net over satin, floor-length gowns with blushers to match. Both wore earrings, gifts from the bride, and carried bouquets of pink carnations and yellow tea roses with pink streamers.

The groom wore a navy blue suit with a white rose as a boutonniere and his attendants also wore dark suits with white carnations as boutonnieres.

The bride’s mother wore a brown and blue dress with a beautiful corsage. The groom’s sister wore a blue dress with a corsage.

The reception was held at the P.N.A. Hall in Thorp, attended by relatives and friends. Their many friends extend congratulations.

Out of town guests attending were: Richard Maslonka of Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Barney Pogodzinski and Miss Ann Zawacki, of Owen; Joe Czyzewicz and Mrs. Nellie Fronse of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sobowosky and family of Douglas, Minn.; Mrs. Lenora Tleine of Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wisnieski and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Furmanek and family of Gilman.
