Strzok, Frances (3 JUL 1866 - 30 OCT 1945)

Mrs. Carl (Mary) Strzok, 79, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stanley Swiontek, in the town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) on Tuesday, Oct. 30th, 1945. The body now lies in state at the Thorp Funeral Home until 9:30 Saturday morning. Funeral services will be held at St. Hedwig’s Church at 10:00 o’clock Saturday morning. An obituary will be published in this paper next week.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Strzok were held Saturday, Nov. 3, at 10 a.m. in St. Hedwig’s Church with the Rev. Francis Piekarski, Rev. Jerome Kamla and Rev. Raymond Rucki officiating.

She passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stanley Swiontek, on Oct. 30, 1945, after a long period of illness, having reached the age of 79 years, 3 months and 27 days.

Frances Moczadlo was born in Poland on July 3, 1866. She came to America in 1884 and was united in marriage to Charles Strzok in 1885. They resided in Minneapolis, a few years later moved on a farm in the Town of Withee, where they resided until 1937, then making their residence in the village of Thorp.

Her husband, Charles Strzok, preceded her in death June 1, 1945, and one son Thomas, who passed away Nov. 13, 1937. She leaves to mourn seven children: George of Milwaukee, Michael and Andrew of Thorp, Mary (Mrs. Jos. Turek) of Gilman, Anna (Mrs. Nick Dobrzynski) of Chicago, Valeria (Mrs. Stanley Swiontek) and Frances (Mrs. Andrew Dobrzynski) of Thorp, and one brother, Mike Moczadlo of Thorp. She also leaves 34 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Her grandchildren were the pallbearers: Pvt. Theodore Strzok, Edward Turek, Frank Strzok, Clarence Strzok, Chester Strzok and Leon Strzok.

Out of town relatives attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Strzok and son, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wozniak and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Strzok, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Szymanski and son, and Dorothy Strzok, all of Milwaukee; Mrs. Nick Dobrzynski of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Strzok of Minneapolis; Miss Angeline Kocheras of Merrill; Mr. and Mrs. Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Turek and son, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Strzok, Mike Strzok, all of Gilman; Mr. and Ms. Marion Sciezor and son of Lublin and son Pvt. Theodore of Camp Fanning, Texas and Pvt. Chester Filipek, Fort Brown, N.C.
