Columbia - by Mrs. William Sollberger

Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Ottens arrived last Wednesday from Camp Davis, N. C., for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Winter. Mrs. Ottens, who is the former Edith Winter, plans to remain here for the present, her husband having left Sunday for Maryland, where he will resume his military duties.

Miss Clarice Winter visited relatives at Madison last week.

George Poertner is having the bard on the former Potucek farm remodeled. John and Frank Putz, and George and Charles Jonkel are doing the work.

Mr. and Mrs. William Sollberger visited at the Orin Eastman home Thursday evening.

A curiosity in the poultry word occurred last week when a gosling at the Ward Lockman farm was found to have four legs and feet instead of the usual two. The gosling died during the process of hatching.
