Doege, Charlotte (4 MAY 1946)

Miss Charlotte Doege, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Doege, Sr., of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), and Max Siemek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Siemek of Lublin, were married at two o’clock Saturday afternoon, May 4, 1946, at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church at Reseburg. The W. Schedler performed the ceremony.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, chose as her wedding gown white satin with a net over skirt and train. She wore a fingertip veil and tiara and carried a bouquet of white and pink carnations. Her jewelry was a string of pearls with matching earrings, a gift of the groom.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Rose Malinowski, a sister of the groom. She wore blue brocaded satin with net overskirt and carried pink carnations. Miss Ruth Bradle, a friend of the bride, as maid of honor, was gowned in gold colored satin with a net overskirt. She carried a similar bouquet to that of the matron of honor. Miss Wilma Bradle, as bridesmaid, was attired in pink satin with net overskirt and carried cream and white carnations. The three attendants each wore a blusher with tiara. Grace Doege, young sister of the bride, as flower girl, wore a white satin colonial gown with net and carried a colonial bouquet of pink and yellow carnations, sweet peas and rose buds.

The groom and his attendant, Herman Doege, brother of the bride, each wore a blue suit with white boutonnieres.

A six o’clock dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents for the bridal party and immediate relatives. In the evening a wedding dance and shower were held at the American Legion Hall in Thorp.

The newlyweds will reside on the groom’s farm near Lublin.

Out of town guests attending were: Bride’s great-grandmother, Mrs. Katherine Russell, butternut, Wis.; Mrs. Rose Malinowski, Mrs. Caroline Michno, Mrs. J. Siemek and son and daughter; Ed Siemek, Ed Andrews, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Warner, son and daughter, Herman Doege, all of Chicago.
