Henning, Anna M. (1881 - 26 Mar. 1945)

Mrs. Anna Henning of Chili died Monday, March 26, at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were conducted Thursday at the home and at Immanuel Evangelical church, Chili, the Rev. S. A. Gutknecht officiating. Internment was at Yolo cemetery.

Mrs. Henning was born in Germany in 1881, her maiden name being Anna Speiser. She came to America with her parents at the age of 10. The family first lived near Monroe, and moved to the town of Lynn when Anna was 16. She was married in 1901 to John N. Henning, who died in 1928. She is survived by five living children: Capt. Dora Henning of the army nurse corps, recently returned to the States from Burma and India; Ella, Mrs. Walter Elmhorst of Chili; Alma, Mrs. Everett Schilling of Dayton, Ohio; Helen, Mrs. James Sladek, Kenosha; Alice, Mrs. Gordon Ritter, Chili. She is also survived by Rudolph Henning of Minneapolis, a brother, and two sisters, Mrs. Ernest Begler of Arpin and Mrs. Arthur Grassman of Lynn.
