Daminsky, Albert H. (18 Jan. 1865 - 24 June 1945)

Albert H. Daminsky, 80, of Neillsville, died at 10:45 June 24, 1945 at the Neillsville hospital. He suffered a heart attack about two weeks ago. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 28. The body will lie in state at St. John’s Lutheran church from 10 o’clock Thursday morning until the time of the service at 2 p.m. Pastor William A. Baumann will officiate. Burial will be made in the Neillsville cemetery.

Mr. Daminsky was born in Germany January 18, 1865, to Albert Henry and Charlotte Gowel Daminsky. On April 22, 1882, at the age of 17 he came to this country. He was employed as a cigarmaker in Appleton, Nekoosa and Neillsville. He had been a resident of Clark county for the past 40 years. He was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran church.

On October 18, 1890, he was married to Rosa Brokhause at Appleton, Wis. Six children were born to them as follows: Ernna, Ernest and Emil, who all died in infancy, and Alma, Mrs. Charles DeCremer, Neillsville; Anna, Mrs. I. J. Ludwikowski, Stevens Point; Leola, Mrs. Norman Tock, West Bend. Twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. Three grandsons are in service. They are T/Sgt. Clarence DeCremer in Germany, Cpl. Norman DeCremer, Victorville, Cal., and William Tock of the Marines, who was last reported to be in Philadelphia awaiting overseas assignment. Mr. Daminsky’s wife died February 24, 1907. His parents both passed away while they were residing in Appleton. Mr. Daminsky was the last of a family of twelve.

Pallbearers at the funeral services will be Charles Lueck, Emil Wetzel, Otto Wetzel, Richard Beyer, George Meihack and Frank Kuhl.

The Jaster funeral home had charge of arrangements.

I am working on the DeCremer line of geneology and looking for any information on the Daminsky line who was married to Alma DeCremer John DeCremer
