Maki, Frieda (4 MAY 1882 - 2 JAN 1945)

Funeral services will be conducted at one o’clock, Friday afternoon from the Finnish Lutheran Church, the Rev. George Autio officiating, for Mrs. Frieda Maki, wife of Matt Maki, Town of Hixon (Clark Co., Wis.), who death occurred Tuesday morning, Jan. 2, 1945, at the Legault hospital. She had been a patient there, suffering with a heart ailment for the past five weeks.

Pallbearers for the funeral will be Charles Kangas, Otto Hakola, Frank Luoma, Lawrence Munson, Sig Sorenson and Arthur Karrow.

She was born May 4, 1882, in Finland, and was married March 22, 1904 at Wakefield, Mich., and came to Withee in 1914, where she has since resided on their farm.

She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Loila Olice and Lily Marty, and one step-daughter, Irja Witala, and four sons, Edward, Reino, Martin and Toivo, 2 sons-in-law, George Alich and John Witala, and one daughter-in-law, Vera Maki, and two brothers, Jack Raisanen in Finland, and Oscar Raisanen of Wakefield, Mich., and a niece, Kauno Niemi of Withee.

Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
