Fagan, John A. (1874? - 1 FEB 1945)

John A. Fagan passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 1945 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at St. Mary’s Hospital, Chicago, Ill., where he underwent an operation. His burial took place at St. Mary’s Cemetery at Chicago, where his wife, Virginia Fagan, was buried one year and nine months ago.

He was born at Styles, Wis., and died at the age of 70 years. The pallbearers were Andy Shannon, Ben Macavoy, Harold Macavoy, John McHugh, William Middleton, and Joe Hrunek.

He leaves to mourn fifteen children, Mrs. Henry (Virginia Kurtzweil, Miss Dorothy Fagan, James L. Fagan, John P. Fagan, Mrs. William (Kathleen) Middleton, Mrs. Jack (Marie) Didier, Daniel R. Fagan, Mrs. Charles (Agnes) Frank, Thomas G. Fagan, Mrs. Joe (Nora) Hrunek, Lawrence G. Fagan, Mrs. John (Marie) McHugh, Miss Georgia Fagan, Robert D. Fagan and Jeanette Fagan.

Those that we present at the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kurtzweil of Stevens Point; Miss Dorothy Fagan, Mr. and Mrs. James L. Fagan and family, Mr. and Mrs. William Middleton of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. John P. Fagan, Elmhurst, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Didier and family, Franklin Park, Ill.; Daniel R. Fagan, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.); Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hrunek and family, Evanston, Ill.; Ens. Lawrence G. Fagan, Norfolk, Va.; Mr. and Mrs. John McHugh, Miss Georgia Fagan, Clearfield, Utah; Robert D. Fagan, Baltimore, Maryland; Miss Jeanette Fagan, Washington, D.C.; and Joan Kurtzweil of Milwaukee, and two brothers, Mr. and Mrs. William Fagan and family and Mrs. James Fagan of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
