Sturgeon, Cleveland W. (17 NOV 1884 - 11 FEB 1945)
Cleveland W. Sturgeon died at his home in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) Sunday evening after an illness of several weeks, and burial services were conducted this morning from Holy Rosary Church, the Rev. Father Brockman officiating, with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 17, 1884, in the town of Hixon, and moved with his parents from there to Fitchburg, mass., when seven years of age. The family later returned to Withee, where they resided until he came to Owen 24 years ago, and since that time has made this city his home. He was employed as janitor of the grade school building during this entire time.
He leaves to mourn, three sisters, Mrs. S. Meeks, Bellingham, Wash., Cora and Theo of Owen, and one brother, Saunie of Owen. His parents having preceded him in death.
He had been a member of the Catholic Church all his life. Pallbearers were W.K. Doonan, Ben Bruchert, Howard Devine, Henry Mauel, George Schanberger and Lawrence Doucette.
