Stryk, Anton (12 JUN 1860 - 30 JUN 1945)

Anton Stryk, a resident of this community (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) many years ago but still remembered by Owenites, passed away at the home of his daughter in Chicago where he had been making his home for the past two years, on June 30th, 1945. He was 85 years and 18 days of age at the time of his death.

While a resident of this community he owned and operated sawmills near Thorp, Lublin and Redville at various times.

His passing is mourned by eight children, Maln of Lublin; Stanley of Milwaukee; Michael of St. Paul; Florence (Mrs. A. Royeski) of Oakland, Calif.; Viola of Chicago; Sophia (Mrs. P.J. Majerus), Fort Atkinson; Tecla (Mrs. C.H. Rue), Hibbing, Minn.; and Charlotte (Mrs. A.T. Stewart) Withee, and fourteen grandchildren

Interment was made in the Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago where he was laid to rest along side of his wife, Theresa, who preceded him in death in 1921.
