Announcement has been made of the marriage of S/Sgt. Thomas E. Haas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Haas, Route One of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), to Miss Frances Shepherd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Shepherd, Salina, Kansas, on Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m, Sept. 7, 1945, at the First Presbyterian Church at Salina.

The bride wore a fuchsia suit with navy accessories and an orchid corsage.

The groom is a graduate of Withee High School and has been with the Army Air Force the past three years. Since Dec. 1943, he has been stationed at Kearney, Neb., with the ground forces.

The bride is a graduate of Salina High School and attended Marymount College. She is a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, business sorority, , and has been employed by the Salina County Department of Social Welfare at Salina for the past three and one-half years.

After the ceremony the couple left for a short vacation at Kearney. The bride will continue her employment and the couple will be at home temporarily in Salina.
