Washburn - by Mrs. Ralph Short
The Washburn Farmers Union Local held its meeting August 2. Miss Elda Schroeder, national education director, attended. After a short business meeting the meeting was turned over to Miss Schroeder, who led the group in folk dances and square dances. A large crowd was in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Art Tews, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Borde, Mr. and Mrs. Tickey and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meiers of Neillsville were present.
Mrs. Ragnar Mortenson will entertain the Welcome club today.
Floyd Alstot went to Sturgeon Bay last week Tuesday after a truck load of furniture for Ted Schultz. He was accompanied by Mrs. Ted Schultz and Lawrence Reinart. They stored their furniture at the Hallie Schultz home.
