Ammentorp, Ruth E. (25 JAN 1944)

A pretty church wedding took place Tuesday evening, January 25, at 7:00 o’clock at the Danish Lutheran church at Withee, when Miss Ruth Elizabeth Ammentorp, of that village, and Ensign Rodger Bennett Wolfram, of Owen, were united in marriage, the Rev. L. C. Bundgaard performing the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Ammentorp of Withee, and graduated from the Withee high school with the class of 1940. She attended the Taylor County Normal school for two years and was engaged as a teacher.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wolfram of Owen, and obtained his education in the Owen schools. He has been in the service of his country for the past four years.

The happy couple were attended by Miss Marian Ammentorp, a sister of the bride, and Henry Myhre, of Stanley. The bride’s gown was of white satin and net, and she carried a bouquet of Camillas, Briar Cliff roses and carnations. The groom was attired in his Ensign uniform.

The bridesmaid’s gown was of blue marquisette, and she carried pernet roses azalea. Mr. Myhre wore a dark suit.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served in the Danish assembly hall, and the table decorations were of seasonal flowers.

Those from away attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Myhre, Mr. and Mrs. T. Myhre, Mrs. J. D. Hunt, Wally and Shirley Myhre all of Stanley.

Ensign and Mrs. Wolfram left Wednesday afternoon for Yorktown, Virginia, where he will be stationed for some time, before returning to his ship.
