Spencer, Wis. -- Gary R. Kilty, 60, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008, at his residence in the town of Unity in Clark County.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at St. John's Lutheran Church, North Spencer. The Rev. Kris Bjerke-Ulliman will officiate. Private committal services will take place in the church cemetery at later date.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at St. John's Lutheran Church and again from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Gary was born Jan. 26, 1948, to Robert and Elvira (Goelden) Kilty near Milan in Marathon County. Gary attended grade school in various places including Marshfield and Abbotsford then later graduated from Spencer High School. He married Linda Hein on Aug. 27, 1966, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. Linda passed away following a courageous battle with cancer July 5, 1998. Gary was employed at Marshfield DoorSystems in Marshfield at the time of his death.

When Gary was not hard at work, he enjoyed woodworking, hunting, camping and pistol shooting. He loved getting out on the road with his motorcycle.

Gary is survived by his parents, Robert and Elvira Kilty of Spencer; his three children, Steven Kilty of Spencer, Scott Kilty of Abbotsford, and Tracy (Jon) Wagner of Athens; his grandchildren, Megan, Morgan, Gavid, Cody, Audrey, Jaclyn, Brady and Piper. Gary is also survived by two great-granddaughters, Skyy and Victoria; and his siblings, William (Sandy) Kilty, David (Sandie) Kilty, Judy Schmitt, James (Janice) Kilty, Paul Kilty and Pamela Kilty, all from Spencer. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gary will also be missed by his long-time companion, his cat "Boots" and by his family and friends.

He will always be remembered as a very hard working man.
