Kerrigan, Ann (27 August 1859 - 31 May 1946)

Mrs. Peter C. Kerrigan, 86, has been laid to rest in the Elroy Cemetery. Funeral services for Mrs. Kerrigan were conducted Monday, June 3, (1946), from St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Elroy. The Rev. J. J. Sheridan officiated. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Kearns in Neillsville, on Friday, May 31, (1946), as a result of a heart ailment and old age complications.

Mrs. Kerrigan, nee Ann Kilbane, was born at Dellona, now Reedsburg, on August 27, 1859. On July 24, 1889, she was married at St. Paul to Peter C. Kerrigan, who preceded her in death in 1924. They made their home at Reedsburg, where they engaged in the bakery and grocery business for 45 years. For the past five years she has been making her home with her daughter in Neillsville.

She is survived by two daughters, Miss Gracie Kerrigan of Chicago and Mrs. J. W. Kearns of Neillsville, one son, Irwin J. Kerrigan of Madison; two sisters, Miss Delia Kilbane and Mrs. Mary J. McCann of Elroy; one brother, B. C. Kilbane also of Elroy; five grandchildren, Ellen Marie, Kathryn and John Kearns of Neillsville, Margaret and Rita Kerrigan of Wisconsin Dells.

Three brothers and a son preceded her in death.
