She was born in Germany April 17, 1868, coming with her parents to the United State in infancy. Her first marriage was to Frederick Warren in 1884. He died 10 years later. About 35 years ago she and Mr. Bistier and their youngest son, Donald, came to Clark county, living in Grant and later in Neillsville. About 28 years ago they moved to Beloit because of the ill health of Mr. Bistier and it was in that city that he passed away Jan. 26, 1941. Mrs. Bistier was a member of the First Methodist church of Beloit, the W. S. C. S. Society of that church, and a life member of that church. Until her health became impaired she was an active worker in her church and home. She was especially interested in farm and garden and her flowers.

Surviving relatives are a daughter and four sons, Mrs. Ella Wheeler, Beloit; Otto Warren, Neillsville; Frank Warren, Ripon; Hugo Warren, Markesan; and Arnold Bistier, Beloit. Another son, Donald Bistier, died July 13, 1930. There are 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, as well as five sisters, Mrs. Mary Schultz, Minnesota Junction, Mrs. Ida Curtis, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Louise Phillips, Milwaukee, Mrs. Ella Horatz, King; and Mrs. Adelaide Mohr, Palo Alto, Calif. Mrs. Bistier was the oldest of a family of seven daughters. One sister, Mrs. Bertha Whitney of Minneapolis, Minn., passed away several years ago. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, Feb. 20 in Beloit, the Rev. E. E. Allen, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. The pallbearers were the fours sons and two of the grandsons. Burial was in Eastlawn Cemetery.
