Patricia A. Sorenson, age 75 of 5420 20th Ave, Eau Clarie, WI former Stanley-Boyd area resident passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the Clairemont in Eau Claire, WI.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Stanley, WI with Fr. Robert Nelson officiating. Friends called on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Plombon Funeral Home in Stanley, WI and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Interment will be at Holy Family Cemetery in Stanley, WI at a later date.

She was born in Thorp, WI on November 2, 1932 the daughter of Martin & Monica (Baldeschwiler) Oberle. She grew up in the Thorp area and attended area schools. On June 9, 1953, she was united in marriage to Wilfred Sorenson at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thorp, WI. After their marriage they lived and farmed in the Town of Thorp until moving to Boyd, WI in 1985 upon their retirement. In 2000 she moved to Eau Claire, WI and resided with her daughter until moving to The Clairemont as of late.

She is survived by her eight children: Carol (Richard) Reynolds of LaCrescent, MN, Larry (Mary) Sorenson of Waupun, WI, Sandi (Dale) Isaacs of Boyd, WI, David (Debra) Sorenson of River Falls, WI, Debra (Mark) Conway of Rothschild, WI, Donald (Kari) Sorenson and James Sorenson both of Stanley, WI and Janice (Allen) Dillman of Eau Claire, WI; and 14 grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Eugene (Sylvia) Oberle of Thorp, WI and one sister, Marian Slowiak/Serocki (James) also of Thorp, WI plus many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilfred in 1993; a great-grandson Jayden Lee and one sister, Marlene Oberle-Montgomery.

Besides her great love for her family, especially her grandchildren, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing bingo. She also took great pleasure spending tiem with family and friends.

Plombon Funeral service assisted the family with arrangements.
