Bergemann, Eileen E. (9 AUG 1947)

The wedding of Eileen Eleanor Bergemann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Bergemann of Granton (Clark Co., Wis.), to Edward James Davis, son of Mrs. A. Davis of Kenosha, was solemnized August 9, 1947 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Fr. John J. Pritzl officiated.

For her wedding the bride chose a gown of white slipper satin with a long train and veil held with a coronet of seed pearls. Her flowers were white gladioli and pink delight roses. Her bridesmaid, Miss Deloris Arndt of Beaver Dam, was attired in a mint green taffeta gown.

The best man was Grant Bergemann of Stoughton, and the ushers were Harland Bergemann of Greenwood and John Bergemann of Marshfield, all brothers of the bride. A nephew of the bride, Richard, Bergemann, was the ring bearer. Miss Patsy Bergemann, niece of the bride, was flower girl. The church was decorated with cut flowers.

Following the wedding the couple left on a honeymoon to Danbury. They will make their home in Wausau.

The bride is a graduate of the Granton High School and the River Falls State Teachers’ College. Before her marriage she was employed as a teacher.

The groom is a graduate of the Kenosha High School and spent six years in the navy. He is now employed in Wausau.

Out of town guests were: Mrs. A. Davis and daughter, Betty, and Harold Newton of Kenosha; Mr. and Mrs. Marlo Bergemann of Clinton; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Bergemann and Mr. and Mrs. John Schwister of Beaver Dam; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Striegel of Appleton; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Dobbe of Seymour.
