Quelle, Randy Scott (18 March 1958 - 21 July 2008)

Randy passed away peacefully at his home in Withee on Monday, July 21, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving wife, Lori, sons Ben and Caleb, and other family members.

Randy was born on March 18, 1958, in Marshfield to the late Harley and Dora (Doege) Quelle. He was the youngest of seven children.

Randy attended Owen-Withee Schools and graduated in 1976. He was united in marriage to Lori Niznik in 1978 at St. John’s Lutheran Church where they remain members.

Randy worked at Liberty homes for 17 years and was currently employed by Indianhead Community Action Agency where he did home improvement and weatherization work.

Randy’s first love was his family and he loved spending time outdoors. He strived to keep them warm through the cold Wisconsin winters making firewood, which he loved to do. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and hanging out on his land by Black River with his family and buddies, Dober, Dennis and Fit (God rest his soul).

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 30 years, Lori; two sons: Ben (Jewelene) of Marshfield and Caleb (Brianne Christophersen) of Withee; three grandchildren: Rhiannon, Axel and Riley; brothers: Ronald (Carol) Quelle of Bensenville, IL and Rodney (Cindy) Quelle of Phillips; sisters: Dawn (the late John) Izewski and Doreen (Frank) Grendys of Phillips; numerous nieces and nephews,, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law and his mother-in-law, Winnie Niznik, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Joshua; his parents, Harley and Dora Quelle; two brothers: Clarence (Geno) and Richard; two sisters-in-law: Barbara (Clarence) Quelle and Billie (Richard) Quelle; and brother-in-law John Izewski.

Funeral services are being handled by Maurina/Schilling Funeral Home in Owen, with visitation on Wednesday, July 23, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and church services Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee.
