Rites at Dorchester For Granton Woman

Dorchester--Funeral services were conducted here Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Salem Evangelical church for Mrs. Antone Mateofsky, 52, Granton, who died at 9:45 o'clock, Thursday.

The Rev. L. G. Thiel, pastor, officiated at the rites. Two selections, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "Nearer, My God to Thee," were sung at the services. Internment was made in Memorial cemetery here.

Mrs. Mateofsky, nee Amy Krause, was born at Little Suamico, Wis., on Dec. 29, 1882. She was married at Dorchester to Antone Mateofsky, who survives her.

After their marriage the couple settled on a farm in the town of Holton, where they resided for 14 years. The next six years they spent on a farm east of Abbotsford, Wis. From there they moved to Park Falls, returning to Abbotsford four years later. Five years ago they settled at their present home in Granton.

Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Alvina) Wehrman, Abbotsford, and Evelyn, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Hannah) Roor, St. Paul, and Mrs. Arbie Kraft, Neillsville; and eight brothers, Ferdinand, Ferber, Minn.; Robert and Earl, Dorchester; Oscar, Chicago; Arthur, Athens; and Harry, Goodrich. There are four grandchildren.
