Klick, John C (5 August 1937 - 23 July 2008) With Flag

John C. Klick, age 70, of Crocker, Missouri (formerly of Thorp) passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

John was born in the Town of Worden, Clark County, to John K and Pearl (Kmieciak) Klick on August 5, 1937. John attended Pioneer Grade School and Thorp High School.

After graduation from high school, he joined the U. S. Army. While in the military he was stationed at Yuma Proving Grounds in Yuma, Arizona and the Ammunitions Storage Station at Rock Island, Illinois. He completed his military career at Ford (Fort) Leonard Wood, Missouri.

He is survived by his children: Alton (Brenda) Klick, Larice Vaughn, Monmouth, Illinois, Remmie Klick and Tara (Shane) Clark, Moline, Illinois; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Klick; sisters: Mary (Wayne) Sondgeroth and Valeria (Raymond) Teclaw; sister-in-law, Leona Klick, all of Thorp; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mike and Susan Newman, and faithful pet, Spike, of Crocker, Missouri.

He will be buried at a later date at the Old St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Thorp. Thorp Funeral Home is assisting the family.
